Hearing a few horror stories about movers I want to play it safe. Can anyone here recommend a mover in the GTA-Miss area?.

What is a fair price I should be expecting for a 2000 sqf house moving 15 minutes away.

Thank you in advance.

Try calling this number, I've used them and they are fantastic. 905 275 1220, I'm sorry I don't have a name but I can tell you the move went off without a hitch. They were very professional and I paid about $1600.00 for a 2500 sq ft home.

Thank you Insertion. Do other members think $1600 is a good price?.

When I moved last summer ten mins away from a 1700sq ft house I hired some college kids off kijiji. 500bux plus food and drinks. And I gave them smore after cuz they were absolutely fabulous.

bradford movers (google them) i know a lot of people that have used them as well as myself. good, reliable and reasonable. not $1600 thats for sure.

I used a local company a couple years ago, Tender Touch or something. they quoted me $900 to move my 1,000 condo. Loaded all my stuff on the truck and asked for my CC. Finished the move and then said it cost $1,500.

Fortunately, I got the original quote in writing. The foreman said that the distance from the elevator to the truck at the condo was longer than expected (about 100 ft vs. 30 ft). I said, "is that what you're going to tell the judge"? I paid $900.

I hate movers.
