I don't go to church anymore, but I'm a born again, tongue talking Spirit filled Christian.
The spiritual realm does exist. There is a good side and a bad side.
I don't have natural explanations for many of the things I know and do, so I figure it must have something to do with the supernatural. I'm on the good side.

I agree there are LOTS of religious wingnuts out there, but that doesn't mean we're all crazy. :wink2:

You all rely too much on the internet and biased books that only express their own opinions. Card reading, spiritual healing, etc... all are scam. Both white and black magic does exist and still being used by many. Just be careful what you wish for and remember that all good and evil comes back to you 10 fold.
Read another person's POV and remember it doesn't make it right or wrong.
What you put out is what you get back. Hence if your intentions are from the heart, you put out positive thoughts and positive emotions you will get back the same energy from the universe. If you are always afraid, how low level thoughts of jealousy, anger, envy you will get the same energy back. Now this is amplified by the law of 10 fold.
Meaning the energy that comes back will be ten times stronger.
How does this work?
Say for example you are in a state of fear. You are worried about fluoride is in the water. You go out telling everyone you can in person, through email, through youtube and various other channels the water is poisoned. Don’t drink it. Your intent is not to educate or offer solutions but just spread this fear of yours.
Some people will send you love to help heel you. This will balance out the people that send you ill thoughts because they think you’re an idiot. So you are left with the people who take our message of fear to heart. Now each time they drink water and have fear that stems because of u, some of that fear is sent back to you.
If they go out and tell people out fear, the people they effect some of that fear comes back to you. Hence the law of ten fold.
You have set up a formula for fear based formula similar to fractional reserve banking that will have negative astral/interdimensional entities hovering around you waiting to feed of this fear coming in.
This by the way is why you see news casters morph to reps. News is all about spreading fear and negativity to millions of people at once. So a rep hitch hikes into their aura to feed of what comes back.
So what do you do if you are in a state of fear?
Remember every negative has a positive. It is all perspective. Rather then spread your fear in the name of awareness, inform about your fear and offer solutions. So the water is poisoned- bottled water, what tap water can be used for (showers, washing vegetables), boil water techniques, bless the water.
Now rather then being controlled by the fear, it is merely a challenge and you can do something about it. Things aren’t hopeless anymore. The energy does a reversal. You will have good energy around you, feeding off the positive vibes you get back.

Of course everything we read, see and hear is open to perception, and ones belief, yet from my understanding, if you believe in the bible, it appears you can't be beholding to the beliefs of energy. Nor can someone who believes in science believe in energy as being anything beyond something our bodies emits, a "black body" as science refers to it, which has no putative healing or mood altering abilities.
If one believes that we are energy or that we can heal, or elicit positive or negative actions, then we are looking upon ourselves as healers and or gods. The bible attests that Jesus is the only one that came to heal. "Then Jesus said, come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burden, and I will give you rest " (Mathew 11:28). God does not want us to help ourselves. He is the source of life, of all that is good and true.
The bible also says, God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy spirit and with the power to heal and Jesus gave that power *only* and specifically to his disciples. (Mathew10:1/Mark3:13/Luke9:1). So if you believe in the word of the bible, the you couldn't believe in the op's post of "laying of the hands" to rid that person of demons, or anything else, since that "healer", as far as I know, isn't a disciple of Jesus.

The most important thing I've learned about religious beliefs, is not to let anyone else tell you what you have to believe.
My parents raised me Presbyterian, I was told what to believe and I had no choice in the matter.
I studied World Religions in grade 10 and it opened my eyes up to the other major world religions. I did a lot of extra independent studying and almost converted to Hinduism.
I attended a Pentecostal type church for 25+ years and again, they told me what I was supposed to believe. After getting preached at for 25 years, and seeing a ton of hypocrisy in the church, I really wanted to figure out exactly what I believed and why, without having someone else shove their beliefs down my throat.
So I quit going to church about 10 years ago and have no desire to ever attend one again.
Listen to what wise people have to say, but make up your own mind about what you believe, because you're the one who has to live it.
