Roommates - Reliability?

After last night's party, I was in the mood to bang. I called RM to book Callie. I don't use RM a lot as they cancel my appointments most often. I don't think it's their direct fault, but the girls' unreliability.

As usual, they tell me to call 1 hour before the appointment to confirm. As usual, when I call to confirm, I'm told that Callie didn't come in today. This has happened about 5 times with Callie. I think that she no longer deserves the Kirk. I live downtown, so it's no big deal for me other than being let down from my excitement. But what about guys who require 1 hour plus notice as they are not downtown?

When I call to confirm and told that Callie is not available, I'm offered a list of other girls available. Not only with RM but with other agencies, I decline as my Plan B is "no hooker". I find that Plan B is a rushed decision and has potential for disaster.

I also don't know why RM doesn't call me as soon as they find out that the girl is not coming in. Rather, they wait until I call to tell me. Telling the client earlier is better as it allows the client to change plans.

The combined practice of not telling the client in advance that a girl is not coming in until the client calls + offering a list of girls as substitution at the last minute is not a practice I endorse. I feel that in a way, they are practicing bait & switch.

There's my little rant, but wonder what your thoughts are.

Hi Kirk,

IMHO I think Ronnie is a "very" good booker. I've spoken to Ronnie enough over the years, that she "steers" me away from RM SP's that she thinks I won't get along with--LOL

I think it just comes down to the reliability of the SP. I've seen Shannon about 6 times over the years, and Shannon seems to always "show" up for her shifts. I just think that Callie is "not" nearly as "reliable" as Shannon is etc.

Likely so that Callie is a flake.

But I also don't like RM's practice of not telling the client of the cancellation until you call to confirm. The earlier the notice the better.

Whenever I book something with RM, I always call to confirm before hitting the road - if not earlier even. I never leave it to the hour just before.

I have mainly had cancellations with Saige when she was working there; half the time she was cancelling her shifts. But she was doing the same when she was Nadja @ Dreammakers - so I came to expect it.

Every time she cancelled, I was also offered the opportunity to see another girl. The only time I accepted was when Ronnie told me Parker was available. Parker was on my TSL, so I went for it, and wasn't disappointed.

I think RM partly operates by taking a lot of walk-ins, guys who just call at the last minute and take whoever is available at the time - given the convenience of the location for guys who are Downtown.

But I agree though with you, Kirk, about plan B: when I make a booking with a girl in mind, I generally won't see a random girl offered as an alternative.

There was one time I had a pre-book with Mirage, confirmed the morning of, and once I showed up at the location, was told that the girl was AWOL. I was offered a replacement with a small discount (Holly, now Abby @ EC), and had a nice enough time, but it wasn't what I was expecting when I made the travel.

So now, I always take a look at who's available at other agencies with girls nearby in case something like this happen again. If my original plan falls through, and no one around tickles my fancy, I am ready to drive back home and keep my money for another time.

I was given the same instructions by Ronnie as well. Namely, to call her an hour before the appointment to confirm. I live on the subway line, so if my appointment was cancelled, it wouldn't be "that big a deal for me."

However, the 6 times that I saw Shannon, Shannon never cancelled her shift. However, I think that Ronnie is the "type" of booker, where you have to call her. I could be wrong though??

I shouldn't admit this, but I can "laugh" at myself.

Ronnie would only let me see 2 SP's on the "whole" RM roster, as she knows that I'm an "annoying client"--LOL

The only 2 SP's she would let me see, were Shannon and Alyx. I wasn't that interested in seeing Alyx, so I just stuck with Shannon, when I decided to use RM.

Last thing....I did ask Ronnie if Callie would be suitable for me to book a session with??

Ronnie's answer, was that Callie "might be too chatty" for me--LOL

Kirk, sorry for rambling on, but I can understand your frustration about Callie's unreliability, in that she seems to cancel her shifts at the last minute, many times!!

Agree on this not being 'professional'. They should let you know as soon as girl is awol. Now sometimes that can be an hour before. Has happened to me with other agencies. Frustrating as fuck, and leaving hanging with 'blue balls' but the only agency who steps up has been Mirage. Taylor is A1 in customer service.

Sorry to hear about your issues with RM. I've never tried them so I can't relay any similar experience. But I agree with your decision not to go with a Plan B - it usually is rushed and even if the lady is a solid choice, she wasn't your first choice and there is that potential for a let down.

On the topic of having the agency call you to let you know the lady is not available. I know some agencies don't like to do that due to privacy concerns and things like that. Unless you specify to them that you can call/text me, they will likely avoid it - so I'm led to believe.

But I agree with you, if I didn't live within an hour's drive of the incall, it would piss me off to have to wait until last minute to learn that lady isn't available.

Regarding Roommates I have found them to be reliable however I have had no luck booking Callie and simply gave up a while ago; agree with Raiden’s comment about how is she fair as an Indy,
