Are you one of the 1.2 million that will -have- attended the parade today. I have fond memories of it when I was young. Now I can't bother with the traffic jams that happen all over the city.

Plus now I know Santa is not real :biggrin2:

Not this year. I'd love to but the rugrats are too small yet. Putting up the tree this weekend and watching the parade on tv. I love Christmas!

Will never miss it. I have young ones that will cherish it for a lifetime.

I have never being to a Santa Parade in TO.....

Today will be a nice day to lose your parade virginity. It's sunny and mild. If you bring a small kid, you'll probably catch some of the candytheythrow.

On a less Yule-ful not but appropro to this crowd, I'm told that the downtown in calls do gangbusters business today as dads drop off their families at the parade and go bust a nut.

First time in years I have not been there.

I finally took the bait and drove. Never again, parking was a nightmare. Will share info later.

I ALWAYS take the GO.

For $10 both ways is a must do. No hassles no $25 parking fees and no road rage,

A no brainer if you ask me.

Kingston police arrest man who told kids Santa isn’t real..LOL!

In Kingston, it’s not the Grinch but a 24-year-old man who police say stole Christmas.
An hour into the city’s Santa Parade on Saturday, as Christmas-themed floats slowly travelled down Princess St., the voice of a man yelling at startled children that Santa Claus doesn’t exist was heard over the crowd.

The man, whose gelled hair “looked like a set of devil horns protruding from his head,” was reported to Kingston police, Const. Steve Koopman said.

Police arrested arrested a 24-year-old man around 6 p.m.

“It was pretty despicable that someone, during this time of the year, would tell kids Santa isn’t real — which of course we would argue,” Koopman said.

Kingston residents went to Twitter and Facebook to express their outrage.

“It irritates me when things like this happen … let a kid be a kid,” said a Twitter user named Kim V.

Others called the man a Grinch and wondered if he would receive coal in his stocking for Christmas.

The man is facing public intoxication charges and breach of probation.

What a clown, everyone knows Santa's as real as Batman and Robin! He deserves jail time and lot's of it!
