I miss the old characters from SNL that I grew up with. Steve Martin always will be my favorite one.

Thanks, Anto. It`s unfortunate that almost all of the classic SNL clips cannot be viewed on YouTube, because the show has an exclusive agreement with iTunes. There are exceptions:
Clips aired in foreign, (non North American), markets are not `blocked`, but they often have non-English subtitles added.
Some musical guests have their SNL performances on youtube, through their VEVO channel.
I didn`t see many of the clips listed in this `15 Most Controversial Sketches List`, but there are a few that would have been on the list, had I prepared it:
The sketch where Eddie Murphy wore makeup to make it look like he was white, and did research about `white privilege`.
The sketch where an old John Belushi visited the graves of the members of the Not Ready For Prime Time Players, having outlived them all. Ironically, Belushi was the first of the original cast members to pass away, around 1978.
Joe Piscopo, as Frank Sinatra, singing a duet of "Ebony and Ivory"`with Stevie Wonder, who may have been both the host and the musical guest, (that episode also contained a sketch of the blind Stevie taking photographs with a Canon camera, to the best of his ability). Joe as Frank was improvising lyrics, like "You`re my amigo, negro`, and `Hey, that was crazy thinkin' Lincoln, when you set them free`, around 1982.
"The Run, Catch, and Throw Like a Girl Olympics", hosted by Howard Cosell., around 1984
Big Ball of Sports - Balkan Dirt Diving, around 1986
The Star Trek Convention, with William Shatner, 1985 or 86.
John Belushi mimicking Joe Cocker`s hand gestures next to him, while Joe was performing as musical guest, 1976 or 77..
When Madonna`s banned Erotica music video was aired, as part of Wayne`s World, around 1992
Elvis Costello starting to play "Less Than Zero", terminating the song, then playing "Radio, Radio" instead. Costello was the replacement music guest, after the announced guests, Sex Pistols, were dropped from the show, for a reason I didn`t care to research. Around 1977.
Sia`s performance of "Elastic Heart", tres weird. 2015
Andy Kaufman`s Inter Gender Wrestling. Around 1986.
Sam Kinison`s piano song. Around 1986.
Charles Rocket saying Fuck on Weekend Update, and being fired immediately. 1981 Jenny Slate also used a `taboo word`, accidentally, but remained a cast member for the rest of the season. Around 2012.
Courtney Love`s 'commando'`pose, while performing "Violet". In reruns, a loop of a previous scene was used, for the video portion, (shaved, or Brazilian, it was only a few frames). 1994.
Dan Aykroyd as the refrigerator repairman, with half his butt showing, because of the weight of his tool belt, around 1978.

Dana Carvey and the church lady, is one of my faves, but Alec Baldwin as Trump, and Melissa McCarthy as Spicer, too are very funny, imo. Chris Farley in most skits, would also be fun to watch. I just wish it was on earlier.

I also like "The lung brush", with Ken Stabler, where heavy smokers could stick a toilet brush down their throats, to clean the mucus out of their lungs, but that was a filmed segment, not a sketch. The filmed part with Victoria Jackson as the shy secretary who had extra fingers was very funny.
Recently, when Bruno Mars and Aria Grande both did, essentially, the same sketch, interns filling in for a streaming radio station, by imitating the voices of other singers. Aria's imitation of Celine Dion's voice was hilarious. I also liked Matthew McConaughey as the guy created with a 3D printer.
I doubt any of the readers here have seen any of those sketches, except maybe the Farley & Swayze clip, because they are not part of someone's YouTube compilation submission. As mentioned previously, SNL clips are banned from YouTube, but you can buy them from iTunes.
Of the ones I mentioned, I only know of the weird performance of "Elastic Heart", by Sia. The little girl dancer is Maddy Ziegler. I'm not sure who the older blonde woman is. I thought she was a dude, when I saw the live broadcast. She has a 'man ass'.

Um...I own a television set, with cable, in my home. I watched the shows, either live, or in reruns, or I downloaded the clips from file sharing networks, back in the day. My memory also extends backwards, more than one page of HUBGFE threads.
None of those abilities are unique. Anyone who doesn't eat jpeg pictures of food should be able to do that, even 'on the kush'. It would be more difficult, for people on psychiatric meds. Just sayin'.
