Some time has passed - thought I'd contribute another review to Sebelle.
Through a series of texting I was able to setup a "date" with Sebelle at a hotel in Markham (I think his name was Ron). He's a pretty funny guy - kept calling me Captain. ;-)
I got there and the final instructions were "walk through the lobby like you own the place, take a right and go to the end of the hallway, room xxx" (ground floor).
Cool. So I do that - except I find that room XXX is not at the end of the hallway - it's right at start of the hallway. Unsure now... I stand infront of the room# at the beginning of the hallway and text Ron to confirm. Some time passes but I see someone looking through the peephole (shadows) so I decide to go ahead and knock. To explain my reluctance - this was within earshot of the front desk so if it was the wrong door I might be in a real awkward position with the front desk. Plus - I'm a commerical pilot - I'm used to exact instructions from ATC to which I respond back verbatim what's expected. The smallest deviation or uncertainty and everything goes back to square one. So when I get cleared for the approach into Sebelle from Ron, and during that approach something doesn't look right - all my training says declare a "missed approach"", go into the "hold" and talk to ATC... I mean Ron... for instructions for the second approach. Anyhow...
So I knock - the door opens and a finer reaches around and invites me in.
Door closes and there's the lovely Sebelle in some sexy lingerie. Whew - wheels down and I'm down and clear of all runways . I mean hallways. In a french accent she asks me why I was standing outside the door for so long. She looked kinda pissed. Immediately I understand why she's taken the offensive stance... let's face it - it is odd behavior. I explain the mixup instructions and how I've read some SPs prefer you not to knock - that they apparently watch for you and open the door when you get there. That combined with me seeing someone was looking out through the peephole had me hesitant to proceed. Oh yeah... I knew this would end up ok - I was taxiing into the gate - mission accomplished.
It's been some time now but let's see if I can recall how things went.
