I always compliment guys that can get erections that are hard enough to 'chop wood, or 'pick ice' with. /-Thumbs-up::/

zyban is commonly prescribed by doctors as a stop-smoking aid
it also has really neat anti-depressant qualities.
we now know that people smoke not just to get their fix of nicotine but also because tobacco has
a naturally occurring anti-depressant called anatabene
zyban cranks up your dopamine neuro-transmitter levels and therefore is stimulating..buzz!!
one anti-depressant is replaced by another
more dopamine, more sexiness
marketed as wellbutrin, it is the only anti-depressant that does not give you a limp dick!
i have often wondered why doctors prescribe something like prozac to guys for depression
inasmuch as it causes impotence which will only make you more depressed!!...
it may make you a bit edgy but so does a lot of coffee. besides i really get a kick from the buzz!!

Doesn't Ziban have major side effects?.

Isn't Ziban used to quit smoking and heard it may lead to suicidal thoughts.

seriously, i would ask your doctor and do an internet search (mayo clinic, web md, national institute of health etc)
obviously, there is a reason why it wants a prescription.
that being said, i cannot think of any effective drug that might not have a bad side-effect on some (small) group of people. i do think, like all anti-depressant type drugs, if you have a tendency towards the bi-polar or mania, then you should not touch this.period!
as for me, it does not lead me to suicidal ideation only randyness...

LMAO, so true.

Looking into your theory. I get way too many side effects using Viagra and Cialis.

Thanks.

People, how about just a good diet and a regular exercise regime.

Actually anorgasmia is much more likely than impotence while on SSRI's.

When you get over 55 we will see how that works for you.

Being fit and healthy certainly helps, but age and health related issues can affect your ability to get hard and stay hard, no matter how much you wish they wouldn`t. I help a lot of guys with ED and my research has shown that most guys over 30 experience some type of ED symptoms. There are 20 year old guys who have erection problems and 90 year olds that don`t, everyone is different.

:fixer:

my doctor says its 40% of people 40 plus years old

it has a lot to do with declining nitric oxide levels and ageing endothelial cells in the walls of blood vessels. viagra works precisely on increasing nitric oxide levels which dilates blood vessels.
pycnogenal, lycopene, arginine also crank up nitric oxide levels. i'm 63 and recently i've had a couple of morning erections like i was a young man..

So why are you here ladykiller!:biggrin2:

Well, since Sept 6, 2012, I've lost 55lbs ( type 2 diabetes) mainly by changing diet and now have a steady exercise routine. Since that time, the sexual drive has increase 100% and the longevity 200% seriously, I'm like a teenager again because I have so much energy and more desire.

I just turned 45, I don't need that beige pill (Cialis) but I do keep some on hand and while I was dating the crazy woman I didn't need it, but I took it a couple times and nailed her silly! :biggrin2:

I think that our genetics play a lot into our sexual health too. In addition, our work and sleep patterns play a lot into all of our health concerns.

Anyway, I can/will only speak for myself, since I lost the weight, I'm a lean, mean fuckin' machine, hide your wives, girlfriends, mistresses, daughters and nieces over 18, cousins, mothers, mothers in law and so on! :biggrin2:

Sounds like you've done your research. I love understanding how things work on the molecular level.

Cells in focus: endothelial cell.

Abstract
The endothelial cell is thought to arise from the splanchnopleuric mesoderm. Endothelial cells form the inner lining of a blood vessel and provides an anticoagulant barrier between the vessel wall and blood. In addition to its role as a selective permeability barrier, the endothelial cell is a unique multifunctional cell with critical basal and inducible metabolic and synthetic functions. The endothelial cell reacts with physical and chemical stimuli within the circulation and regulates hemostasis, vasomotor tone, and immune and inflammatory responses. In addition, the endothelial cell is pivotal in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. Endothelial cell injury, activation or dysfunction is a hallmark of many pathologic states including atherosclerosis, loss of semi-permeable membrane function, and thrombosis. Cell facts: (1) Endothelium consists of approximately (1-6) x 10(13) endothelial cells forming an almost 1 kg organ. (2) They uniquely contain Weibel-Palade bodies, 0.1 microm wide, 3 microm long membrane-bound structures that represent the storage organelle for von Willebrand factor (vWF). (3) The endothelial cell is not only a permeability barrier but also a multifunctional paracrine and endocrine organ. It is involved in the immune response, coagulation, growth regulation, production of extracellular matrix components, and is a modulator of blood flow and blood vessel tone.
