Shooting and a Stabbing At Yorkdale

One dead after being shot in the head and it's believed a woman was stabbed all in front of the Sears Store in Yorkdale. I think it's time to bring down a shitstorm on criminals, this is getting ridiculous.

Agreed. Completely getting out of hand. People should have the right to shop and take their families to the mall without having to fear for their safety.

Shoppers are stuck in the parking lot while a handful of officers register every single car in the parking lot. One lady being interviewed on City Tv was livid with the wait. I know for a fact Yorkdale has camera surveillance everywhere. I'd be shocked if this wasn'/t caught entirely of video/

It's 2 guys one dead one stabbed. A group of guys got into an altercation in the mall and it was taken outside by all reports this morning. In the meantime the police aren't releasing the cars that were left in the parking lot as people became so frustrated they walked to the street and grabbed a ride home.

It boils down to guns and laws in my opinion. Anyone using a weapon in a crime should be sent to prison for a 10 year minimum, case closed.

I include knives in that. You have a knife on you and use it to kill someone, it should be 10 years automatically.

I was at the 27 and Finch Flea market last weekend. Dr. Fleas I believe and I was near a booth that sold knives that can gut a pig in 2 seconds flat. I couldn't believe how many young guys were coming by and drooling over these weapons. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better if a stiff minimum term isn't brought in.

Anytime a weapon is used, regardless of what it is, should double the jail term. If a gun is used, it needs to be treated a lot more seriously. With all the strict firearm laws in this country, handguns are the most difficult to get a license for. But I can still buy one on the blackmarket in less than 12 hours for less than 500 bucks. Thats what needs to be looked at a lot closer.

Yes, there are some knives that are pure gutting machines, remember it was a box cutter that brought us 9/11

Yorkdale mall has the most expensive charge for rent per sq ft. I can see them bringing in real cops to patrol the area now. Agree time to hand out tougher charges on these criminals.
