Every crop we use today has essentially been genetically modified in one way or another. Selectively breeding animals or plants for increasing yields is a type of genetic modification. As for the more technological forms of genetic modification...I don't think you have to worry about man-eating talking plants for a few decades yet. :biggrin2:
