Ms. Sarah said:Not many! I've been a bird watcher for many years and I'm amazed by how adept they are at avoiding traffic. Once they get good at it, they don't even fly away, they wait until 2 seconds before the vehicle comes, take a few steps off to the side of the road, then walk back out to get it.
I have hit 2 ravens while driving up in northern BC, but that was probably due to them being blown off course by strong winds. I can still remember hearing the sickening, 'crunch' sound when one went head on into my windshield. :sorry2:
