Some "bachelor" time on my hands...

Hey guys,

My SO will be away for a bit and wondering how to best fill some bachelor time. I was thinking of trying to Obsession swing lounge this Friday evening, where they allow single men to attend - https://myobsession.ca/. Might be a sausage fest on a Friday night, but I am tempted to gamble the 50$ even if I just end up a voyeur. A long shot...but has anyone been? Are Fridays (when single guys are permitted) a sausage fest? I might also find some good old fashioned bars to cruise women at...any recommendations? I had heard the upstairs bar at the Lone Star is not bad, but I checked it out a few months ago on a weekend night and it was lame (maybe I hit an off night), it was a bit of a sausage fest there also...Anyone else interested in cruising women in bars this weekend?

I know I can visit spas and such, or go to the PM, etc...but looking to change it up...

Well Ryan welcome to being single, albeit for you not permanently, but nevertheless like getting out on parole, but knowing it'll be revoked for misbehaving! As you may or not know I go every Thursday to a huge patio bar in Hull called Aux 4 Jeudis on Laval St which has been around for 38 years. If weather is good the patio is full, and holds probably 350 people, many are gov't workers who come after work, and if a gov't pay week then can help attendance as well. Two outside bars and one inside. I get there at 3pm to get my regular seat for best viewing of the merchandise, although you'll find all types there, AAA Alberta beef quality or out to pasture former quality.

Next place is the Lac Leamy casino bar on Saturday nights, and tons of girls, of all ages, sexy and dressed to kill, usually more than guys some nights, as they have great live bands that start at 9:30. It has a dance floor so females love to dance, which attracts them. I only go occasionally as I tend to limit my out time to Thursdays



Another good place on Saturday is Fat Tuesdays' on the Market, formerly Stoney's Mondays. They have the dueling pianos which is a great time and therefore busy, so get there early to get a seat at the bar. There's an upstairs which has older folk but I've never gone up there.





Lastly, Houston's in Gatineau kiddy corner from Sears on Montclair on a Thursday (Thursdays have always been deemed to be singles night out anywhere you go) Bar waitresses are model quality and worth just to go and sit there and look at them. Used to be Cage de Sport.

Anyway, you have some choices so enjoy your parole while it lasts!!

Lonestar can be hit or miss. The cover charge is usually about $12 on weekends when there is a band. It is usually free cover if you eat there so it is almost a 'free meal'.

Too bad I am away a cottage this weekend. As PM said, you may have better luck on the Quebec side.

Day 1 of the "12 days of Ryan" is complete...I heeded PM's advice and headed to les 4 jeudi...you were right...that place was hoppin! Talent varied as you prognosticated but overall I was pleased. Sipped a beer trying to make eye contact but was getting nowhere, I was a bit later than your 3 PM start, I showed up at 7 and ended up leaving at 20h15. I was getting frustrated so I figure I will head to the Mate and see some naked women...on my way out I lob a couple of texts to Ally and TwlightBaby (was trading messages with her last week after seeing her ad on CL). I ended up booking an hour with her, which I will review in another thread.

Tomorrow night it's Obsession lounge and thinking of hitting Fat Tuesdays on Sat night. Of and I also have Serena from Vibe booked for an hour on Saturday at 13h...

Glad you enjoyed quatra 4 jeudi, as if not anything there's volume of girls, verses a small place where there aren't many to to see or meet.
If you go to Fat Tuesday's get there by 7:30 otherwise it's harder to get a seat at the bar. Sit on the far side facing the door, so you can see who's coming in, plus Rick one of the bartenders has a small set of drums mounted in the bar, and he's a fantastic drummer and at various times will suddenly start going crazy playing them, either with the piano guys, or solo.

Ryan, you likely spent less than you might have at the PM so you received good value. The single life is different than when we were younger...
I was at Moxie's @ HC & Riverside yesterday for lunch.... talk about 'model quality'!

You're so right that single life isn't how it was when we were younger, and it's hard to adjust as it's become more technology based. Interesting you mentioned the model quality at Moxie's as I've never been, but everyone has always said how hot they are, regardless of location. At least window shopping is still free!

Agree all Moxies locations have hot staff and patrons...But the sheer quantity is low...I like 4 jeudis for that reason...a huge patio and it was packed when I was there.

Yes the sheer volume there makes it worthwhile, as it's right next to all those gov't buildings. Instead of looking well rested when your SO gets back, you'll look exhausted from being out on the town so much! It's not an easy life being single...

Ok...Day 2...Obsession...was a dud. Paid my $50 to get in and sipped 2 over priced beers for 2.5 hours and left frustrated. The place was dead when I arrived 9:30 and people started to arrive around 11. There were some hot women, but there were there as couples (mf couples). The single guys were kinda losery, the whole scene was pretty pathetic. There is no "action" in the bar area, you have to retire to the play area to get it on, whenever a couple would head back there, the single guys would swarm around and watch, it was just kinda sad. There was one total loser that kept pulling his dick out as if the couple were going to spontaneously invite him to join...sheesh...There was a fun threesome to watch for a bit, was mmf, but was porn style so was alright, but all in all I think when the allow single guys to come the place is dead since the couples do not want to be there sinced the get just stared at. There were 2 single giels there, coimpletely uninterested in hooking up it seemed and never headed back to they play area. There were not a ton of single guys, maybe 7-8. The bar itself is actually really nice, music was a bit loud, but I guess I am an old geezer... Repeat...yeah...no. I am seeing Serena (Elle from EH, Ella from AT) at Vibe today.

If you are into the swinging scene I can see it being a fun place to go with your swinging SO...but for single people...forget about it...

I never heard of that place, and not somewhere I'd go anyway, but sounds more like a voyeur bar, but as you say not many couples and more watchers. These couples certainly aren't shy to have an audience and you sure wouldn't want to have performance anxiety!!
