[TD]I'm new on this board but new to the hobby.

Have you run across any incidents where an SP called you after a visit to say that the contents of the envelope were short? It's a sticky situation when the contents aren't counted in front of you.

I had a recent visit with a well reviewed Agency SP that we have in common and wondered if you had the same experience. I received a call from the SP after our visit saying the contents of the envelope for a multi-hour was short by two Browns. I triple and quadruple count to make sure I place the correct amount in the envelope. I suspect it isn't the first time the SP has done this.

I had an an experienced with a well known SP, here in Toronto.

The donation was supposed to be whatever, and I recall, as I was getting ready for my visit I counted the twenty dollar bills into an envelope once.

After the event, as I came out of the shower, the SP, embarrassed, mentioned I was $20 short.

I had already planned a tip of $40, so I just apologized and added another $20 to my tip.

Because of her reputation on the boards, I'm 99.9999% certain it was my mistake.

But it was a bit uncomfortable for a while.

Since then, I always count it twice making certain of the amount and then I usually add another $20 or $40, just to be safe.

If I was on a tight budget, I would simply hand the envelope to the Sp, and casually ask, "Check that, will you?". That makes it easy.

I also like Danolo had the $20 possible scam pulled on me. I too paid it even though I was 99% sure it was correct, it's not worth ruining a session for 20 bucks. Although receiving a call after the fact is totally out of line. This too me sounds more like a scam and I think after bill c 36 this will be more and more common.

Remember guys, hobby phones, fake emails and no real names!!

Short by a brown one I will give the benefit of the doubt.

Short by 2 blown one I say 99% you got scammed.

Thanks for the replies. I know I got scammed as I triple counted and even adjusted after counting the day before and finding an error.

I felt guilty and arranged to leave an envelope at the hotel front desk with an extra two reds. Never heard back....

The lady is well reviewed and I'd hate to get into a PISSING match. I'm sure it's happened before to others.

Next time I'll ask for a count while I brush my teeth.

West Coast, sorry to hear about your situation. I usually count out in front of the ladies both for her peace of mind and for my own. I then carry on to the shower. I notice the ladies are more at ease knowing they've been paid and counting it out eliminates any misunderstandings.

It's like when you buy anything. Count in front of the girl/lady. No misunderstanding, no embarrassment, no hassle.
We all know why we are there. You're not ruining any illusion, IMHO.
I even ask the donation amount to double check.

Pay with large bills, and don't use an envelope, simply leave it out in full view.
