Spring cleaning vs garage sales

Every year we spend a full day major cleaning, clearing and throwing out junk that we don't use and it's old.

Then there isn't a garage sale that I don't stop, take a peak and see what I can buy for a bargain.


This goes on every year. I am addicted to garage sales.

I have a problem HELP :bu::bomb:


Anyone here goes to garage sales. Have you ever found anything worth keeping 6 months later?.

Not me personally because you have to get up at 6 am on a saturday and I have to do that everyday of the week for work so I am NOT doing that on a saturday. I have some friends up here who do that every sat. and damn, he gets some deals. What he does is collect inventory all summer then has a big one of his own. He usually makes a couple of grand doing that. A guy who lives next to him does that for a living. This one makes enough so he can spend the winter in florida.....(I think he said something like $15 or $20 grand) He buys old gold and stuff too and yeah, he rips people off BIG time....my friend told me about this time a little old lady had a bunch of gold chains. She wanted like $150 for it all and he convinced her that half of it was fake. He gave her $40 for it all. He sold it for $2500.......I could never do that.....that's fucked.

It wasn't my friend who did that, it's his neighbour.....and yes, he does that all the time. If you read my post a while ago about how I'll never get ahead it is because I WILL not do things like this (rip off someone else). Even though all large corporations/businesses/politicians do this continually....
