Made with Love

St Patrick's Party coming up!

I would been at your last social ... mainly based on location .
I thought it was a great spot
But after a 5 hour drive from Sudbury , was in the mood to go down town .
But it at a pool hall , I don't think Id attend

I never go to theses socials here in Toronto , but been to several in Ottawa
There very well put together , There are gift/grab bags for the ladies .
the men buy there tickets to attend , there usually at a private room at a bar / restaurant
There a drink ticket giving to the ladies .
On every occasion I was there every gentlemen was pleasant & a pleasure to meet.
There highly attended

So are my events. No cover, no fees, its a simple meet and greet.

The option was given and a pool hall was suggested this time. It might not be everyone's cuppa tea but they are well liked and attended.

The next indy event might be a by invitation only event with tickets being pre sold as a dinner party event.

Interesting place, unfortunately they already have an event scheduled that night

Any progress on St. Patrick's Day party? I am quite keen to partake of the celebrations, given that as a single working mom I have NO social life, so ANY opportunity to socialize with adults is a bonus!! Not that I have ever really celebrated St, Patrick's Day, (Given my German heritage) of course Octoberfest is ALWAYS a must, but St. Patty's not-so-much, and particularly since I was married to a "born and raised" Glaswegian Scotsman, well the word "Irish" was anathema and unfortunately anything to do with the country and culture. We went back and lived in Scotland for 3 years, and my word, a more partisan society I have never seen.... The Celtics vs. Rangers is truly a metaphor for and a political/cultural outlet for the tension between the protestant and catholic religious factions. Of course, my ex married me, a raised Catholic German girl (kilted Catholic school girl don't ya know for all you sick perverts!! "Bless me Father for I have sinned....") and we know how much the English and Scots LOVE the Germans.... (perhaps why the marriage ultimately didn't last... LOL) Truthfully, we parted as friends, and he continues to be my best of friends. However, the protestant/catholic tensions in Glasgow are still ever present nonetheless. But I digress of course! I am happy to become Irish for one night, and riverdance away amongst the pool tables, drinking green beer (Yuck! - do they have green wine instead?) and looking for leprechauns.... Anyone willing to join me?:biggrin2:
