haven’t checked for recent studies but i believe there hasn’t been a largely generalizable study done on this yet.
in any case, prolotherapy seems very promising. since plasma fights antibodies, transports protein etc. to injured areas, it causes controlled inflammation which stimulates us to heal faster by regenerating collagen (connective tissue). weakened fibers are more supported and this is why it works well for tendon, joint and ligament injuries. (someone correct me if i’m wrong, osteo is not my area!)
i know it’s been used for androgenic alopecia, or in men—the infamous male pattern baldness. anaesthetic is obviously used but depends if you can take having your head injected!
