Hey gang, I've been gteting emails on this new tv service via online and did a bit of a search and came up blank. (lot's of "reviews" but all seem to be put out by the company).

Any word on whether this is a scam or what?

Don't forget about your download cap from your friendly neighbourhood provider. You'll gobble up a whole lot of it d/l'ing shows and then pay extra. Aren't caps wonderful.

When you simply watch them online as a video stream it doesn't take up too much bandwidth at all.

Be-careful with those Tboys, most are scams. You can if you have a relative in the US grab a box and run off their account but you do not get the PPV unless of course the account holder orders the movie.

I miss the Dishnet and DTV boxes. It was great having all the movies and porn you could watch with a click of your remote control.

Luckily most movies, sporting events and shows can be watched online. Hook up your laptop to your TV and you are all set.

Come on guys, stop ripping off the satellite companies. Piracy of any kind is the same as going in and robbing the teller. It creates job losses and many of those job losses are to the little guy at the bottom of the food chain.

Get the fuck off your soap box Preacher! I'll download music, buy ripped DVD's, and would buy a good knock off if it was good quality!:great:

why not? they've been ripping us off for years.

How? Well, by:
1) charging us for channels we should be getting for free (networks)
2) by forcing us to watch commercials on channels we pay extra for
3) by charging us extra for HD channels which don't cost any extra to provide and some are free anyways
4) by forcing us to take channels we don't want in packages in order to get channels we DO want.

And finally: If they are dumb enough to send signals into my home, then why shouldn't I use equipment to capture it? if they don't want me using it, then don't provide it to me....IMO that's like putting a cardboard box in my living room full of hundred dollar bills and then saying: don't open it. ahem yeah OK right.....

now back to the topic at hand:

I realize there are caps on the download but the cost is miniscule compared to the price of tv service. For the cost of 1 month of cable service I could probably download a terrabyte of data.....

Geesh! A good quality knock off is as close to an oxymoron as it comes.

I bought 2 movies, once and the quality was so poor I said F it. From now on I'll just buy first quality from the used rack at Blockbuster. Pay the same too just have to wait a little longer that's all and I am a patient man when it comes to movies......

+1

The only thing I have against the rentals stores is that you use to be able to rent the boxed set for the same as a single DVD, but not any more. So to watch a series like Deadwood you have to rent each DVD separately.
