I dunno if it is that bad. Didn't thousands go back to the site of 9/11 for the opening ceremonies of the memorial?

Now the letter might not have been worded perfectly but still, if the theatre was going to reopen, have a service in remembrance of the victims, then an offer to attend is far better than nothing.

what you have here is a bunch of people trying to blame everyone but the criminal.

“What to do? How to move ahead? Open or shutdown? Memorial or no memorial? What is acceptable to some is not to others. Tough decision. It does seem however that the community was given an opportunity to voice their opinion, surveys were taken and a decision was made.

Could the PR been handled differently? Probably. Could they have waited a little longer to get past the holidays? Probably. Unfortunately there have been other places who have bore witness to the same tragedy as Aurora and reopened with their own version of memorials. I can’t imagine their pain but as sad as it is for the families, life does have to go on. If the families do not want to attend it is their prerogative.”
