I was walking up Broadview just north of The Danforth listening to my walkman/radio when I heard the news that Tori's body had been found. I was trying to send as much good karma as I could the whole time that she was missing. Very saddening.

Victoria Elizabeth "Tori" Stafford was an eight year old Canadian girl abducted from Woodstock, Ontario on April 8, 2009, and murdered. She was last seen on security camera footage walking with Terri-Lynne McClintic.
Her disappearance and the subsequent investigation and search were the subject of massive media coverage across Canada.[SUP][2][/SUP] The search for her body ended on July 19, 2009, when a child's remains were found in a wooded area in rural Ontario and were immediately believed to be those of Tori Stafford. This was confirmed in a news conference held July 21, 2009. The police response to the situation as it developed and their lack of calling an Amber Alert has been criticized by the public, and has recently been the focus of a review of the Amber Alert system in Canada.[SUP][3][/SUP] The circumstances of her death were a mystery until a publication ban was lifted in December 2010.[SUP][4][/SUP]

There are thousands like her, the crappy economy and the availability of drugs have created shitty situations everywhere around us.
Losing a child is the worst of it though.

Some people deal with pain in different ways. Doing and selling drugs is not one of them. I hope she gets help and quick.

omg i could not even imagine losing my child...if the worst thing i d do is drugs or sell them it would be just to ease a MINUTE BIT OF PAIN...un fucking believable the cops charged her, un fucking believable if the crown proceeds :grrrrrr:

Although I feel for her loss, at some point in time an individual has to take responsibility for their actions.

The loss of her daughters life should have been a big wake up call. Apparently it was not.

actually now that i had a second or two to think about this....absolutely abhorrent for charging her. How many hours of police work went in to charging this girl who is most likely just trying to drown her sorrows in her daughters death, then into finding her daughter before she died?

i think the cops have their priorities fucked up

think about what u are saying ...seriously ...I can tell u FOR SURE if i lost my daughter ..shit would not matter to me I would probably be happy bathing in it... do u get my point?

i never been a crackhead...i d gladly become 1 in an instant if that eased my pain just a little bit, or ur legal choice is the dif is a doctor prescribing u a bunch of "medicines" that dont ease half the pain ur going through but essentially same effect as coke or crack ( as it maybe her choice)

but for fucks sake its a bad news story, bad arrest, bad prosecution if they proceed

The mother has a history of drug abuse before she lost her daughter I do believe and therein lies the difference.

Not to mention she has another child that is depending on her. So no substance abuse is not an option in the least.
