Do you believe that:aggressive:

Who cares if he loses his job. The kid has to live with it the rest of his life.

LIVINGSTON, Tenn. -- A first-year teacher from Overton County may lose his job after writing the word "stupid" across a student’s forehead with permanent marker, a district official told
The math teacher has been suspended indefinitely, Matt Eldridge, director of the Overton County Schools, told the NBC television station.
"We're here to help the children and not to hurt them," Eldridge said, adding "One word can break a child. I mean, I've got three children. I wouldn't want it done to mine."

The incident happened last week at Allons Elementary, where a student asked a question and the teacher responded by writing on the child’s forehead in front of his classmates, Eldridge told the TV station. The teacher also wrote the word "stupid" backward on the student's forehead, so he'd be able to read it when he saw himself in the mirror, he said.

"The teacher said, 'I was trying to joke with him,' and of course, I said, 'That’s not the way you joke with anyone,'" Eldridge said.
Allons Elementary is a K-8 school with a few hundred students just outside Livingston.
"It's kind of one of those mistakes that's hard to correct," Eldridge said.

That is the kind of thing a father kicks the teachers ass for, or at least writes on the teachers head.

Fuck where is this fuckhead's brains.

Apologies for swearing but he deserves a good beating.

It's bad enough kids have to deal with bullies in the playground but it should NOT happen inside the school.......

Who told the parents what it said???

They probably saw it on the kid's forehead....it was written in permanant marker afterall.......

Wow. That's really scary. I agree- with all the bullying (and now it's cyber as well as playground) from other kids, the last thing any kid needs is abuse like that from someone who is supposed to have their best interests at heart.

Although there are universal characteristics of what constitutes child abuse, there are still differences from Federal to Provincial and Federal to State policies.

This particular incident would be child abuse in Ontario.

Within the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, we have legislation called the Child & Family Services Act.

[h=2]Recognising the signs of child abuse and neglect[/h]Child abuse happens when a child's parent or other person in charge harms or neglects a child.
[h=3]What are the types of child abuse?[/h]In general, there are four major types of child abuse:
  • physical abuse
  • sexual abuse
  • emotional abuse
  • neglect
[h=3]What is physical child abuse?[/h]Physical abuse could result from a parent or person in charge causing physical injury to a child, or failing to adequately supervise a child or from a pattern of neglect of the child. Here are some examples of physical abuse:
  • beating
  • slapping
  • hitting
  • pushing
  • throwing
  • shaking
  • burning
  • writing stupid backwards on a child's forehead! Inappropriate physical contact.
A child who is physically abused may:
  • have burns, bite marks, cuts, bruises, or welts in the shape of an object
  • not want to go home
  • be afraid of adults (teachers that write stupid on a child's forehead)
[h=3]What is sexual abuse?[/h]Sexual abuse happens when a parent or other person in charge sexually molests or uses a child for sexual purposes or knowingly fails to protect a child from sexual abuse. Here are some examples of sexual abuse:
  • any sexual act between an adult and a child, including intercourse
  • fondling
  • exposing a child to adult sexual activity

A child who is sexually abused may:
  • have an inappropriate knowledge of sexual acts
  • be very compliant or extremely aggressive
  • be afraid of a certain person or a family member
  • have difficulty walking or sitting
[h=3]What is emotional abuse?[/h]Emotional abuse occurs when a parent or other person in charge causes emotional harm or fails to protect a child from emotional harm that results from verbal abuse, mental abuse and psychological abuse.
Here are some examples of emotional abuse:
  • yelling at, screaming at, threatening, frightening, or bullying a child
  • humiliating the child, name-calling, making negative comparisons to others, or saying things like: "You're no good. You're worthless. You're bad. Having you was a mistake." (Stupid)
  • showing little to no physical affection (such as hugs) or words of affection (praise or saying "I love you.")
  • saying that everything is the child's fault.
  • withdrawing attention, giving the child the "cold shoulder"
  • confining a child in a closet or a dark room, or tying the child to a chair for long periods of time
  • allowing the child to be present during violent behavior of others, including the physical abuse of others
A child who is emotionally abused may:
  • show signs of serious anxiety, depression or withdrawal
  • show self-destructive or aggressive behaviour
  • show delays physical, emotional or mental development
[h=3]What is neglect?[/h]Neglect happens when a child's parent or other person in charge does not provide for a child's physical, developmental, emotional or psychological needs.
Here are some examples of neglect:
  • failing to provide:
    • proper food
    • clothing suitable for the weather
    • supervision
    • a home that is clean and safe

  • not wear clothing that's suitable for the weather
  • be dirty or unbathed
  • be very hungry
  • not be properly supervised

Duty to report!

S.71, S.72, S.73 cover reporting, don't be naive, any adult has a duty to report. Volunteer coach, neighbour and so on.

*Getting back to this teacher, it could be possible that he may be responsible for creating the next school, mall or recreation centre shooter or worse serial killer. Yes, that is extreme but not impossible, more likely create a depressed kid that continues to be a victim and commits suicide on the WWW.

This teacher needs to be publicly whipped by everyone that wants a shot at him for being STUPID.

Tennessee has 14 State prisons, the teacher should spend time in each one with I emotionally abuse children by writing that they are stupid on their foreheads inked on his chest with an arrow pointing upward to his mouth that has no teeth, so he can't bite down! On his back the same ink with the arrow pointing down and additional ink that reads punish me, I'm a bad teacher!

All the Correctional Officers will ensure that he meets the entire population of the prison. Prison bitches get stitches frequently in the mouth and rectum! Rectum damn near killed him, try again!

^^^^^ HOF, don't hold back, you should learn to tell us how you really feel!!!! :smiling:
