Alan Barron, a teacher in Michigan, was suspended for teaching kids about Jim Crow racial segregation laws and showing his history class a video that explained blackface. An assistant principle was offended by the video and suspended the teacher of 36 years, who was only a few weeks away from retiring. The Resident discusses.
