As for the hockey game, it wasn't dramatic at all. It was defensive team work shutting down a high powered scoring team. Typical Canadian take your man out of the play which is how defence is supposed to be played in any sport. Both goalie's played very well but this one. This could have been a track-meet shootout which would have been very entertaining but I've said this many times before!

So today's win goes to Coach Mike Babcock and his staff for preparing the team and having the team buy into what they wanted to do. Yes, I'm a HABS fan but regardless Carey Price is the right goalie for this team. Crosby hasn't played well but today he did a stellar job defensively against their best line and that's not something we look at often. It's hard to bring a bunch of stars together for 2 weeks with little practise/timing wise, so there's one more game, and I have to say that I think the 2 best TEAMS are playing for the gold. I wouldn't be shocked if this one goes to shootouts!!!

It also shows how different the women's game is because it's all about team work and from all the sports casts that I've been listening to and watching Canadians really enjoyed the women's game more because it was dramatic.

For me, when the CBC showed the old interview of Hayley Wickenheiser telling the world what the Americans did to our flag in their locker room well that enhanced the drama, intrigue and desire to watch and what an outcome it was!

Now I'll tell you something, I've coached elite club basketball for over 20 years and travelled all over Canada, USA and been abroad several times with one National level team, several Provincial teams and my own clubs. As much as we all tell athletes you won silver-no you lost gold! In tournaments there are only two teams that win their last game the Gold and Bronze, the silver medals go into a box in the storage room because you lost.

Nobody remembers who lost the Gold, the Superbowl, Stanley Cup, World Series, NCAA title, CIS titles!

NOW, the pressure is really on the MEN's TEAM to finish!

Brady Leman finished 4th in Men's ski-cross, he crashed but I think the other competitors squeezed him out. The French won all three medals.

Good for Brady 4th gives you incentive to do better next time.

Stay tuned Brady Leman may be moved up to the gold medal from 4th. All three medals were won by France; however, there has been a protest filed because their uniforms had been altered to make them more aero-dynamic.
