This is an example of how to create a quoted message in this private group:

You have to type in the quote and close quote tags yourself in the message. The "quote=blackram" will display message that looks like this:

blah-blah-blah

Sorry, the number of features in the editor in a private group are limited as compared to the editor features in the public forums or even the private messages section.

Or you highlight the words you want to quote and click on the "quote" icon. Second row above this writing and second from the end.

Yes, but that only works if you're using the full reply editor, and not the quick reply editor.

BTW, the "

" is actually a JPEG image of a screen capture I took from my computer screen, as this editor doesn't allow you to show the tagging text raw like that.

I see that by default in PM's. Are you clicking on the "Reply to Private Message" button in PM's? I sent you a similar message about how to do it in the private group.

Yes I click on the "Reply to Private Message" button in PM's. If there's only a portion of a message you send me, I delete the irrelevant parts that I'm not commenting on, and leave the part in that I'm going to comment on. Maybe the highlighted box isn't visible to me, but is to the recipient?. In a PM reply back if I delete the not relevant parts, and leave the remainder, does it have a border and shaded text? Is it the brackets and text what's important for highlighted box to occur? Will look again what you said in the private group.
You won't see the highlighted text while editing, you only see that in the display text. Look for "[ quote ]" (without the spaces in between) and "[ /quote ]" tags within the editor box, those are the borders of what will become your highlighted text in the display text. This is how all of the editors in the other sites work too, I'm pretty sure.

Let's continue this in the private group, I'm sure the other guys would want to know this stuff too.
Okay Paul, we can continue this discussion in here.

I know most of you never venture outside of our little private group here, but for those of you who do participate in the rest of the HUBGFE forum, they have upgraded the colors a bit here, so all threads that have at least 1000 messages in them, or 50,000 viewer hits, will be highlighted in red when you list the forum threads or view your subscriptions. Here's an example down below (you can click on the image to see a larger, more detailed image).
