So yesterday afternoon I managed to see the Spider Man (2012) movie. As I expected, there was a lot of action, great fight scenes and special effects. The storyline was good and closely fitted with the one in the earlier DC comic version. Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Martin Sheen (Ben Parker/Uncle Ben) I thought acted very well in the movie and played their parts to a tee. So did Rhys Ifans as the evil Dr Curt Connors. The character that Peter Parker played in this movie by Andrew Garfield was more of a rebellious, cocky teen than the clean cut kid that was portrayed in the earlier movie series by Tobey Maguire.
As expected, there were lineups to get into the movie, and it constantly sold out quickly, even though it was playing in 6 auditoriums at the same time. One thing to note, there is a final scene at the end once all of the movie credits are finished that gives a hint at what the sequel will be about. The audience seemed to enjoy it, as they applauded at the end. I give this movie 2 thumbs up.
