Fantastic movie. It's a black and white silent film like the early days of motion pictures. I was watching a few Charlie Chaplin films that inspired me to see The Artist. Anyways go see it, if your a film buff this movie is important. 4/5 stars.

I too agree that The Artist is worthy of ALL of its Oscar Nominations !!

The Artist should be on Everyone's TDL.

I was a little concerned in the theatre as the movie began because I could here the sounds from the movies in the adjacent theatres. However, I forgot about the muscial score that plays during Silent Movies. The music masked the other sounds.

EXCEPT for someone's cell phone that rang and rang and rang about 30 minutes into the Movie. Really, people !!??

There were very few "subtitle slides" in this SILENT movie.

The messages and the flow of the movie were well defined by Great Acting and Great Cinematography.

Well Done !! :clapping:

I thought it was great as well.
I don't understand why Berenice Bejo is nominated for Best Supporting Actress instead of Best Actress though.

Because her role in the film was not a lead role, it was a supporting role.

She had the leading actress role, a central character to the story. :bs:

I saw the movie tonight. Changed my avatar to his honor. One of the best movies I have ever seen. The ending Bang gave me a laugh when I saw her car crash LOL.
