This is now getting scary. There goes our privacy.

When people download a film from Netflix to a flatscreen, or turn on web radio, they could be alerting unwanted watchers to exactly what they are doing and where they are.
Spies will no longer have to plant bugs in your home - the rise of 'connected' gadgets controlled by apps will mean that people 'bug' their own homes, says CIA director David Petraeus.

The CIA claims it will be able to 'read' these devices via the internet - and perhaps even via radio waves from outside the home....Read more.

I hate to break it to you but google etc are already tracking what you look at etc when you search using them. There was also an app you can download to someone's smartphone that allows you to monitor where they are in real time as well as listen in on any conversation the phone is exposed to......

The only way they could visually monitor you via something like netflix is if you were watching it on a computer that had a built in, or connected camera. A regular tv doesn't have a mic or the ability to capture images......
