Writing on Facebook while reportedly stoned, one Samuel Murray has come up with a ‘life after death’ theory that has made a whole lot of people stop, and think.
It’s a poignant topic at the best of times, and Samuel’s spaced out pondering has clearly resonated with a lot of people. Since he posted his thoughts to Facebook on Sunday, they’ve gone quite considerably viral.

At the time of writing, his post has accrued 108 thousand likes, and over 123 thousand shares, as well as a whole lot of “mind fuck” comments


It reads:

“What if when we die the light at the end of the tunnel is the light to another hospital room, there we are born and the only reason you come out crying is because you remember everything from your past life and you’re crying at the fact that you died and lost everything, as you grow you start to forget your past life and focus on the life you have now, but patches of memory stay behind and that memory causes deja vu. Think ’bout that for a second..”

There is, however, a flaw to the theory. As one person points out, if people are recycled in this way, “then how does the human population keep increasing? It would remain static or there would be some correlation between the [amount] of deaths and births in the world”…

While Samuel’s theory probably isn’t correct, we can’t help but think that this would make an incredible concept for a movie or TV show…

I've thought about it and I'm going to reject his reality and substitute my own.

I've had a story idea bouncing around in my head for ages that is along these lines.

Anyway, death is death. There isn't life after death as that would make death pointless, which in turn makes life pointless. We have one life to live. Let's make the most out of that one life.
