It can be shocking to see a woman who is normally made-up during the day without her makeup, especially if that's the only way you've seen them for years. "Severe psychological trauma" may be going a little far, but a man from Algeria is taking it to that level as he attempts to sue his wife for fraud after seeing her without makeup for the first time. From choosing a hairstylist, to choosing a divorce lawyer, this relationship went from 100 to zero real quick.
The sad thing these days is most of the stories you hear like this one are real. Where before this would have appeared on a "headlines around the country" bit on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, now it's all real. The Internet is becoming less of a place for jokes and more of a place for shock, awe, and "wtf."
The breakdown in divorce court will go as follows: The plaintiff, Mr. Ridiculous, is suing the defendant, his wife, for $13,000 on grounds of "incomparable deceit." Someone speaking on behalf of the man explained the reasoning behind the charge. "He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill her face with makeup before their marriage. She was never without makeup until the big day. He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the makeup off her face, he was frightened and though she was a thief."
So they're both at fault for being ridiculous! First of all, even thinking about taking a matter like this to the courts is a waste of the justice system's time. As for the wife, the fact that she did not once show him what she looked like without makeup is a little strange. There isn't any info on how long they courted each other, but unless it was a short time dating, it's hard to believe there wasn't an opportunity for this to happen. While there's quite a difference, it's not like she looks horrendous without makeup.
