I don't even want to imagine the suffering they have gone through.

I don't even want to imagine the suffering they have gone through.

Many of them have endured pain, both short and long term, that most of us could not imagine.

And yet, many of these wounded have a strength and determination that makes most people look pathetic. The inner strength to keep going is considerable, and contributes to their determination to see it through. I've personally known people hospitalized for years recovering from incidents and accidents, and they develop a will to live that should be an example to us all.
