Brad was standing in line at Loblaws recently, and one of those quality research publications you find stacked next to the chocolate and chewing gum caught the eye. The mag informed me flu shots were really hocus pocus scare campaigns, cleverly designed by so-called doctors to deny our right to reject anything said by someone we don't know but apparently trained to keep us alive. This can't be right, said Brad. So Brad checked. Google. There are so many blog entries out there proving that herd immunity ought to be rejected in favour of our individual right to do whatever the frak we please. Like, alot. If Brad can discover the truth in 6 minutes of research he has no idea how health authorities keep blathering about the need for herd immunity via broad-based flu shots. Their years of peer-reviews research is, thus, clearly just a corporate/government conspiracy. No other explanation possible.

Look, Anjelina threw me out, just Brad, 7 of our 19 kids, and my iPhone, onto the street. Homeless dudes can't post links. But try the conspiracyplanet or drunkenintellects websites, or the informative YouTube documentaries that turn up via 'flu conspiracy' searches. It's all there. The truth. In the meantime, while the so-called experts bullshit Brad about it being 591% more likely that he'd die from the flu than the flu shot, I'm exercising my rights to spin my own roulette frakkin wheel. I am coughing but so freeeeeee

This subject is one of great controversy... always has been...

Reminds me of Newton's Law of motion... "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

For every person (doctor, expert or otherwise) who says its a good thing, there's another who says its not.

I'm of the belief that the power of the mind to overcome adversity is the best cure. If you believe the flu shot will help you, it probably will. If you don't, it probably won't. (Entirely the premise on which the "placebo effect" is drawn...)

Me? I believe I'm immune... I don't take any kind of chemical enhancement, or supplement, not even "vitamins". I prefer to get my nourishment the good old fashioned way... by EATING PROPERLY. So far, whatever I'm doing is working.... I haven't been sick since 2005 (if memory serves...)
 
Yeah, right on! Newton's laws do the trick every time. But Brad thinks Newton's 1st Law is more relevant here than his 3rd. The 1st Law says an object in motion will continue in it's state of uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force. This means if you think you know something then just reject whatever anyone else says (external forces) and you will be able to succesfully carry on thinking whatever it is you want to think. Brad and Newton are, like, tight! Forget what all those frakkin docs are saying, carry on, it's even consistent with Newton's Laws.

But isn't learning dangerous? For instance, humans learned how to build bombs. Dangerous stuff. We learned how to build hospitals. Guess what? People DIE in them. See, learning is dangerous. A little bit of knowledge goes a long way, witness internet experts, but alot of knowledge is just something corporations and governments wield against us. On the other hand, while a little bit of scepticism is healthy, alot of scepticism means you must be right (which is why unvalidated claims by internet experts are true, cuz they're so sceptical they must be right). It all makes sense.

Flu Shot Clinics open
Various Flu shot clinics opened today across the GTA, its just the one flu shot you need, they have combined the regular shot with the H1N1.

I got mine!

What does Brad think of that? Well, clearly it's the damn government lying to us all and trying to poison us. Why else would they not tell us they're putting H1N1 - known as just a money-spinner by anyone with half a brain - into this years flu shot? Of course those immunologists say it's standard practice to include antigens for the previous years' dominant viral strains in subsequent years' vaccines, and they say WHO has been advertising that all year, but who are any of them but people with the JOB of keeping large populations healthy. Anyone paid to do anything obviously can't be trusted. Besides, Brad hears getting the shot is like meeting a prick, and no-one likes a prick. All good, informed arguments against getting a flu shot, right?

Hmmm... the government lied to us???? WTF! :grrrrrr:

They aren't allowed to do that! (Are they?) :shock:

If memory serves, Health Canada (or whomever looks after this sorta thing), clearly had WAY TOO much vaccine from last years PANDEMIC outbreak :roll:, so they maybe had to get rid of it before the best before date had lapsed. Easy solution, add it to this year's "anti" JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS campaign... (AKA the annual drive to immunize).

Here's the thing... Every year I hear the commercials and every year I ignore them... Am I immune? Not bloody likely... :roll: , but I do enjoy perhaps a healthier lifestyle than most and perhaps a higher than average immune system... in spite of the fact that my kids bring home all sorts of illnesses and mini-bugs home from school, I have remained sick-free for many years...

And will continue for as long as I can! (or until I get some superbug and act like a big huge baby! LOL) :gasp:
 
Brad couldn't agree more. Every year I see those commercials saying eat right and exercise, but luckily Brad realizes they're sponsored by Health Canada and thus a giant government lie and corporate scam to fleece us of money. So Brad don't eat anything anyone says is good for him, and doesn't move unless he can first establish no-one is saying it might be advisable. Brad is the measure of all things, and if I don't think it, then it aint true and I won't do it and nor should anyone else. Being told to take flu shots is just another example of someone other than Brad thinking they know something more than Brad, and that can't be right dammit!
PS: can someone tell Brad why he feels a bit off, so Brad can conclude the opposite and feel better?
