Four home invaders barged into a mixed martial artist’s home during the early morning hours on New Year’s Day.
One left in a body bag, another an ambulance and the other two fled in fear.

MMA fighter Joseph Torrez of Las Cruces, N.M., fought for his life last week following an altercation on New Year’s Eve, according to multiple reports.
After a group of men warned Torrez they were coming for him on the morning of Jan. 1, the 27-year-old New Mexican did what he does best: defend himself.

According to court documents obtained by , Torrez received a phone call from 22-year-old Leonard Calvillo before the posse arrived at his home.
"I'm big Eastside," Calvillo reportedly told Torrez, threatening him and referring to his gang. " I'll kill you and your family ... I will (come) to your house."
The home invaders didn’t stay long.

Calvillo and his friend, Raymond Garces, fled after Torrez turned a knife on Sal Garces, 25, stabbing him multiple times near the home, said authorities, who arrived after a tenant called police.

Torrez didn’t stop there, sending another intruder, 20-year-old Nathan Avalos, to hospital with severe facial injuries.

The two men who fled were later taken into custody.

The Sun-News reported Torrez, who has a record of one win and five losses before last week's scrap, lived at the home with his young son, fiancee and friends.

The obviously underestimated this young lad and were dealt what they deserved.

I am glad the US recognizes the right to defend oneself in their own home against intruders in this situation.

Maurice, I'm coming over and coming with the gang to teach you a lesson.

Papa, Guido and HOF get ready, we've got business!
