Made with Love

Thief thread on TERB

Yes it did about a year ago, but not her. The one that came over to my place was I think from Mtl, and I didn't fair quite as bad as this guy did, as at least I got some hand play. We played around a bit, but before the main event, she said her driver wanted his money, so knowing how that scam works, I went down to the lobby with her and as soon as she got outside she ran for this car parked outside, jumped in and they were gone. After I came back upstairs I noticed that my watch that I had taken off and put on the coffee table during out play time, was gone, so she had picked it up when I was turned away.

I had initially been somewhat interested in this Sarah girl, but was suspicious enough not to pursue her, and obviously my intuition was right. Between these scammers and B&S it's getting like the plague to go near anyone unknown.

Regarding opinions that this client should get the police involved, for what it's worth I'd offer the following. First of all LE in these times of fiscal restraint have limited resources and budgets to investigate every crime, so they prioritize and triage much like an emergency room does.

The girl agreed to provide a service and he paid in advance for it, but she failed to provide that service, so it's a fraud just the same as you pay someone in advance to do a job for you, but they take the money and never fulfill their part of the contract. As the real identity of the girl isn't readily known, the police would have to investigate, but they'd want an assurance that you're willing to lay charges, go to court and testify all in public. It would be your word against hers, as no witnesses nor tangible evidence, so she would get off on the basis of a reasonable doubt. However, it would never get that far, as there's no violence involved and the Crown and Courts are too backlogged to allow a case such as this to proceed. More realistically, I doubt many of us are willing to give up our anonymity to obtain justice in these circumstances. As we know, this client did and won, but as we also know his photo and identity were in all on TV, and papers, as stories like this generate news interest.

Somewhat like a drug dealer paying for drugs, but doesn't get the drugs so wants to go to the police to complain...not likely. In cases like this you;re a victim of the breach of contract ripoff, and if you pursue through LE or the courts, you become a victim again but this time in public which would affect your job and relationship. The only recourse might be to call Crime Stoppers and report it, and at least it will be recorded on file. Clients get ripped off and so do the girls sometimes.

As I had been a victim like this guy, I mulled my options as well, albeit briefly for the reasons I cited. The other reason the police and Crown wouldn't expend any time on this, is the relatively trivial amount of money at issue here...depending on how long his appointment was to have been, maximum about $200. The guy in the wheelchair however, got ripped off for over $800,000, not just for lack of service, but also extortion etc, so circumstances were different and important enough to pursue. Bottom line is that none of us is going to trade their privacy, job, friendships, and relationships to obtain justice at this kind of social and media cost. It's also the reason why girls and their pimps do it, thankful not often.

I was just throwing out my nostalgic thoughts about this kind of thing, but if you want to share it that's fine with me...others might think otherwise which is fine, but if it helps to put this in its true reality, then by all means.

In hindsight don't bother posting it on TERB, as there's already so much about this already, and I'm sure people are tired of reading it all.
I looked at all I had written, and realized I'd become the male version of Penelope...writing diarrhea...sorry about that, I'm going to the pharmacy to pick up some Kaopectate to stop it!
