A 75 yr old woman scavenging for scrap metal cut the internet cable in georgia so the neighbouring county of armenia was cut off from the net for 12 hrs..

well, no, it was a fibre optic cable, so no copper in it....from the sounds of it it ran underneath a scrap yard of something and she uncovered it.....

I like the part where they said it was pretty heavily armored, she really had to work at exposing the core.....
