On a more mature note, he'd be fucked either way. If he claimed it on the insurance, his rates would skyrocket and if he didn't, he is looking at thousands of dollars in repairs.....you have to wonder would insurance even cover it? It was total negligence on the owner's part giving the keys to an untrained unlicenced minor.......
