As a first-class airline passenger gave up his seat to a service member on a recent flight, many of his fellow passengers applauded, but an associate professor at Pennsylvania’s Drexel University took the less popular route

George Ciccariello-Maher, an associate professor of politics and global studies at the Pennsylvania university, posted a tweet on his private Twitter account Sunday.
“Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier,” Ciccariello-Maher said in the tweet. “People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul.”
On social media, many shared a screenshot of the private tweet, while expressing their outrage over Ciccariello-Maher's "unpatriotic" comments.

People forget that the rank and file military personnel don't make policy decisions. They simply carry out orders. The burden of choice is removed from all those on the ground in combat situations.

The applause is for the fact they choose to serve their country unconditionally, and put their lives at risk for the protection of others.

"I'm not sure which course he teaches, it might be 'How to Grow Facial Hair Without Testosterone.'"

:rofl!:

His Twitter account is now private. I wonder why Damn-Not too smart
