Twitter notifications

Often times I'll get a twitter follower ask me to turn on their notifications. Anyone know what they mean?

If I don't understand someone, I just ignore them and hope they go away. It doesn't always work so sometimes I just have to turn my computer off and crawl into a hole for a few days. That's what happens when you're too old to keep up with rapidly moving technology.

I hope this helped you Cristy, but I'll bet it doesn't. Ask me how umbrellas work some time--I think I have those figured out nicely! Parasols though, whole different story...

I don't have a Twitter account. Never felt the need to either know what others are doing, or explain what I'm doing. Same with Facebook.

If you access Twitter through an app, you can receive notifications for when specific people you like tweet. To turn on notifications for an individual, click on their profile. It should be one of the options along with sending them a DM, or muting their feed, or turning off their retweets, etc.

Thanks all for the replies. It seems that I must have notifications on as I get email notes when I am followed and can see likes and rt's. If it requires more than that......I'm lost

Those would be your own notifications. You can get additional notifications for specific people you follow.
