Two customers were accused, by an all you can eat buffet, of regularly pigging out and that prompted the restaurant to ban them for life.

According to NY Daily, George Dalmon, 26, and Andy Miles, 25, got banned from GObi, a Mongolian barbecue buffet located in Brighton, England. GOBi offers their customers to order a dish as many times as they want for around $19.30.

The restaurant said that Dalmon and Miles would come in and eat five bowls of stir-fry during each visit, and this has been going on for about two years.

According to Huffington Post, an unnamed manager said that the pair has also never purchased anything else except for water and the buffet. The manager went onto say that the restaurant is not a charity and that they have the right to tell people not to come back if that is what they want to do.

According to BBC, Dalmon said that the owner of the restaurant came over to him and Miles as they were eating their last bowl of stir-fry, and they were told that they were disgusting and that they were nothing but filthy pigs.

I used to go to the local chinese buffet and slice off huge chunks of pork loin and/or roast beef to bring home to my dog. I even brought a tupperware container.

Come on man, i was hungry and so was my friend. i am cheap to so these buffets can really save some coin so I can use it on the ladies.....they think its hot too.

So, you were feeding dog to a dog? lol.....

I was at a local place for lunch with a buddy a few years ago. It was one of those 5 items for 5 bucks deals...they HEAPED the plates full of food...I said to him:

My shih tzu is good, how's your lab? And he spit a mouthful of food out he was laughing so hard.

This story isn't anything new, even though they do advertise "all you can eat" it really isn't...they can set limits on just how much you can pack in......I also believe in the restaurant "code" there is a time limit as well because really, you could go in at 11 am and spend all day there......

I seem to recall seeing a small sign at a mandarin once with some of these rules....I think that's where I saw the time limit.......and it stated no doggy bags etc....

I went to a Vietnamese all you can eat restaurant a few weeks ago and on their menu they wrote. "We will charge you for left over food you leave on your plates". That solved a few issues with clients.

Then don't call it all you can eat.

then what about "jumbo shrimp"?
"free gas"?
"organic free range chicken"?
Or, organic anything for that matter.....

As I said, it is all you can eat, but there is a limit......

There are all sorts of "promises" that come with fine print...just look at the ads for cars on tv....see all that fine print that flashes by in less than a second?

:rofl!::rofl!: you took the words right out of my mouth!

I've seen people being asked to leave buffets. Those diners forever command my respect.

I'll probably regret this, but why do you respect them? Because they are gluttons? Abuse of privilege?

Arnold Schwarzenegger should have squashed you when he had the chance!:grrrrrr:

If a buffet gets to the point that they are asking someone to leave it's usually because the customer has gone way beyond what is normal or expected. I've been to buffets with some very big eaters and never have we been asked to leave.

I've never been thrown out of a buffet and I'm a regular at Mandarin. I usually go up an average of 4 times and load my plate probably 3 out of the 4 times and have never had an issue.

Madman on the other hand has been thrown out but that's because he takes off his shoes and stinks the joint out!

funny this thread is still going on.....and my parents asked me to come down and have lunch with them today...guess where? the mandarin.....arrgh....that has got to be the crappiest chinese/canadian place on the planet.....and to make matters worse, both my parents are gluttons...it is disgusting really......I usually go up once or twice and they get all pissy with me.......

I remember one time they wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday and I told them where I wanted to go, what what what, you don't want to go to the mandarin? HELL no lol......plus I have to do a round trip of over 5 fricken hours for the pleasure of eating dog food.....oh well.......

Try going to Wok Of Fame in Brampton next time T. It's a buffet but it they cook most of the food fresh. It does take a little longer to be served but I find the food tastes better than Mandarin.

yeah, that'd be like trying to take a bone away from a pitbull.......to get my family of gluttons away from the trough? lol...yeah ok....lol......

But in all seriousness, I tried the chinese food buffet up here? OMFG I thought the mandarin was bad......to top it off, I asked about the "other" chinese food buffet up here and my co-workers told me "don't eat there, try the other one, it's better" oh fuck, that was the one I tried lol.......I mean, it wasn't bad, it was fucking horrible......just god awful......

OH man, I SO miss ho lee chow...now that was good chinese........or the little place down the street from my loft in toronto......ahh those were the days.....

My parents like SWiss Chalets. lol

I stay away from buffets. I always feel I need to get my money's worth and eat more than I should. It's a terrible feeling leaving having to undo the belt buckle and feeling/looking like a stuffed sausage.

eureka......I looked over at my mother's plate and it was full of unwanted food...I said "what's the matter, you not hungry"? she said "no, this food is horrible" I said "FINALLY"........lol....then my nephew said, yeah it sucks.....EUREKA.....lol.......maybe no more mandarin?
