I can understand if they want to add it to their stores but to take it out of their menu is ludicrous. Why is the world getting so political correct lately instead of standing up to your believes?.

[h=1]Subway removes ham and bacon from nearly 200 stores and offers halal meat only after 'strong demand' from Muslims[/h]
  • 185 branches across UK and Ireland now sell halal-only meat
  • Halal refers to objects or actions permissible under Islamic law
  • Pork is forbidden and while other meat can be eaten, it must be sourced, slaughtered and processed according to strict rules
  • Subway said all halal meat served in its branches has come from animals that were stunned before being slaughtered
  • Halal-only menu is in response to 'strong demand' from Muslim customers

That will never happen in North America. People love their fat too much.

Fat my ass

Pork is far less fatty then most meats.

And Bacon is meat candy reserved for people who love food.

Why can't the non-Muslims put up a "strong demand" for bacon and ham. After all, I'm sure there was a Bible reference somewhere to bacon!

Not really.......................They stick to a modified Kosher diet.

Muslims are allowed shell fish but not pork

OT said Jews weren't to eat meat from cloven hoofed animals that didn't "chew the cud" (but the barbarians all did), NT says go ahead and eat whatever you want (in moderation with regular fasting) as long as your conscience doesn't convict you. If you feel guilty for eating something because it goes against your religious convictions, then don't eat it, but it also says not to condemn your brother if he still chooses to eat it.

Can I have a triple order of #12??`

Yessir, coming right up!

There is a video out there that shows you the cruelty methods they use when killing their meat. To graphic to even post it here.

If this is a business decision based on economics, then fine. If that is where they are making their money at those stores, fine.

If they are doing this because they are afraid of what the muslims might do to those stores, then there is obviously something very wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's the latter as Muslims seem to get really pushy about the way they want things in countries they have emigrated to. NY had the thing about muslim drivers not picking up people with dogs or booze because it was against their religion. In Detroit or Chicago they wanted foot washing stations in public bathrooms. The only reason people give in seems to be a fear of terrorism or worse (what we see with the NBA Sterling case) a fear of being accused of bigotry and racism.

Shit, you can't have an opposing view of the POTUS or you'll be accused of being a racist even if your beliefs only stem from principles and not the person in charge. The race card seems to be the big hammer when it comes to anything these days.

I find it amusing that there are AA's that are against the extra penalties for the use of the N-word on the football field during NFL games. An example of the double standards of the race game that seems so prevalent these days. So it's okay for an AA to call another AA the N-word...but if you are any other race, then you are a racist. C'mon...why can't people see through this BS?!

Great post Sir Prim0.
