That right jab of his is exactly like how it is in the movies. A man ahead of his time. I would pay top dollar to see him take on some of these modern day MMA fighters. The man practically is the ancestor of MMA.

My guess is that he would definitely give Demetrious Johnson a run for his money in the 125 LB division.
He was always evolving and unlike most martial artists in his era was willing to seek out and learn new new techniques.

The footage in "Tommy D."'s post #1 is from Long Beach, 1967, possibly when Bruce was still filming "The Green Hornet" TV series on ABC; it lasted one season, 26 episodes, in the 1966-67 season, when I was in grade 1. I don't watch a lot of MMA because the little I have watched were nothing more than 2 guys whaling on each other. Soaking up the hits to get in close for a take down. Almost no technique to speak of.
If stories of Bruce Lee are true, and after watching that sparring clip I'm prone to believe them, then Bruce Lee has fought with his life on the line before. There's a whole different mentality between fighting for money and glory and fighting for your life. That would give him a huge edge.
