A student union leader at the University of Ottawa says an online conversation among five fellow students in which she was the target of sexually graphic banter shows that "rape culture" is all too prevalent on Canadian campuses.


Anne-Marie Roy, 24, is going public despite being threatened with legal action by four of the male students, who say the Facebook conversation was private.


Nonetheless, Roy — who received a copy of the conversation via an anonymous email — said she felt compelled to speak out, especially since the five individuals were in positions of leadership on campus.

I can already imagine what went on on those Facebook conversations. That's one very attractive woman, and boys will be boys, and they started talking about what they'd like to do with her. Not much different than in here, but instead of boys will be boys, it's DOB's will be DOB's. ancing: Then some asshole within that group decided to release the conversations.

This reminds me of something that happened in the Montreal Massage board a few years back. Remember I said, this private group is based partly on the MM tiered system. Well that system worked only so well as members kept conversations on the upper tiers secret. Now the only criterion for graduating to the upper tiers involved how many posts you had. So there really wasn't any vetting done on the members for their eligibility to go on to the higher tiers. So naturally, some of the members revealed secrets to the girls about what was said in the secret groups. The mods found out, and demoted that guy down to basic status. After awhile, he was let out of the doghouse, and promoted back up. He wasn't a VIP for very long before he revealed more secrets. Again he was kicked down. After this, I think the mods just decided to get rid of the tiered system altogether. The mods said they think the reason he was revealing secrets was to get a better price from the providers. This was a serial blabbermouth.

I don't understand the mentality of using your membership on an escort review board to gain some advantages. I normally don't even tell most girls anything about this, unless I've known them for several years.

YES!! I have read the article on Yahoo and the legal implications involved. These guys are complete douchebags with no respect for the ladies what so ever. They deserve to be removed from the student body board. The lady in question has been apologized to but that not enough!!
