Or maybe, you are misreading a tone in her suggestion that wasn't there, and others do agree that her suggestion is a good one.

I certainly don't pretend to be "above" going to a strip-club, and I very much enjoy the entertainment that they provide (titties, yeh!). But I've been to a few industry parties, all held at SC joints, and I have to agree that it is not the most conducive space to carry a conversation with and get to know potential customers/providers. In some cases, the local talent doesn't particularly appreciate the presence of what they see (rightly or wrongly) as competition, and many SPs have reported being treated less than friendly by some dancers.

And as Lauren suggested, for those clients who are looking to meet providers who they could potentially take out on more formal dates, a SC is not exactly the best environment to get an idea of how they carry themselves socially, whether they can hold a conversation, etc.

This doesn't mean that having a party at a SC is a bad idea altogether. But there's no reason why we couldn't try another kind of meet-and-greet as well, at a different kind of venue. It doesn't have to be either/or.

I would fully support a different kind of meet and greet as well. A piano bar, a small nightclub (no loud music), a beach party, there's all kinds of things that can done. Gen even the local wateringhole can be loud What I don't appreciate is being talked down to.

The parties at SCs can be productive and unproductive. I generally see them as a means to check out the ladies only. I've also been told that many ladies don't like these events because some people are too grabby and try to take liberties with the gals, and I believe that's completely sad. For me, it works well, I've met several ladies at parties and made plans with them the very next day

I'm certain that Lauren's attention would be taken as many would want to speak with her and many wouldn't get an opportunity. This would happen in a piano bar too.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having a wonderful evening with everyone.
