Stories printed in national media, including ABC News, painted the picture of an electronic cigarette “exploding” in a Florida man’s mouth, causing him to lose teeth and visit the emergency room.

Turns out, the exploding device was a modified electronic cigar. According to information gathered from CSP Daily News and other sources, all evidence points to this device being a "mod" or "modified electronic cigarette.
