Video of driver going "Crazy" LIVE NEWS (watch it before it gets removed from youtube)

Well, I'd like to see the translation before jumping to conclusions....

To me? Looks like he got into an accident, then was attacked, then was trying to escape, when he couldn't? He was set upon by a bunch of maniacs......

I can't believe that cop allowed a civvie to go up and slug him while they were standing there.......

Now if he intentionally rammed the first vehicle? then ok, well, maybe he was a little nuts but if it was an accident and someone was attacking me? I wouldn't try and escape, I'd try and run the attacker over....

This is another example of only knowing half the story and jumping to conclusions......

I agree, not knowing the full story. However, just from looking at it, it seems like the driver who crashed into it was drunk or on drugs (just off the top of my head), that is my initial thought. However, the ending is terrible. Leaving him on the road face down bleeding is inhumane.

^^^ either way, the other driver shouldn't be attacking him, punching him and kicking him, if anything he should be trying to subdue him......I mean NO one just tried to hold him down, even with the cops present and they finally got a hold of him, the mob just started taking the boots to him....

From what I understand about russian law(lessness) that you're guilty until proven innocent there and I can pretty much guarantee you that even if it was just an accident? The ones who beat him will get off scott free and he'll be in jail a LONG time......

Glad to see he wiped out a Porsche Cayenne. I hate those pieces of shit.

You could tell that by the finger circling beside the head can you? lol.....I guess that's the international symbol for crazy.....:)

If you click on the youtube link back to the full page, here is the info they have:

"Owner of the silver Hyundai Terrakan rammed more than twenty cars on the Garden Ring. At high speed heavy car crashed into a parked cars on the roadside. The Suv started to ram a cars on the Sukharev area from the inside of the Garden Ring. Driver was overpowered by car owners and police officers. - All face of the gonzo driver was covered in blood..."

Ramming 20 cars (if true) is pretty extraordinary, and does somewhat explain the extraordinary punishment he received. He could have really hurt/killed someone.

^^^^ still doesn't explain "when" this ramming started: before or after he was attacked?

BTW: he wasn't overpowered, he was beaten.....there is a big difference. Shit, I mean that shop keeper was arrested for just detaining a shop lifter, if this happened in Canada? Those doing the beat down would be locked up for a LONG LONG time...and the cops who stood around watching? They'd be fried.......

I mean, a few years ago a mentally challenged man was waving a machete around on a streetcar and was killed and a shit storm erupted over that...a MACHETE.

I wouldn't turn it down of course not but I'd then try to trade it for something useful.
Like an espresso machine.
Pretty widely recognized as a huge mistake.
Like if KENWORTH got into the smart car business.

Unless things have changed, Top Gear did a test of them and they liked the cayenne. It cornered like a sportscar and if it was a POS, they'd have no problem at all calling it one.

Are you sure you're not mixing the cayenne up with the X-5 BMW? now THAT is/was a POS. Totally useless......

Take it on the road in the snow and lets find out what it does.
My experience was that it was sort of all over the place.
(Yes I test drove one.)

Ok, well, a couple of questions:

Did you have it on the snow setting? (don't know if it has one but most do)
Did you have it in 4 wheel drive? (don't know if it is all time 4 x 4 or not).

The traction control is messed up on my truck and it's all over the place now too. WITH the TC on? It handles like I'm on dry pavement. I tried to get it to drift on the road to my place and it wouldn't. Now? I can do donuts......

(and yes, I have super fat 20" pirellis on it...I didn't ask for them, they came with the truck lol)

Ok, the first guy beating on the driver is in fact a cop. Notice the letters on the back of his navy winter jacket are the same as the ones on the other cop's fluo green over-thingy.

Also, the witness, the middle aged man, is explaining how the guy plowed into several cars and hen tried to run away, and that he has never seen such a crazy person.

As for the treatment the dude received, remember, this is Russia. The rules are different. The guy was resisting arrest (NEVER do that in an Eastern Block country, the cops are corrupt and most likely are former violent offenders themselves), and he did swing at the first officer.

All in all, I'd say he got what he deserved.

You're right about the letters, didn't notice that......

As for getting what he deserved, while I am all for someone getting a smack down for resisting arrest, the line was crossed when the cops let civilians get involved in the beat down......

He was drunk and disorderly. He got what he deserved. He could have easily killed an innocent bystander when he rammed his car in reverse. Actually they should have pounded him a little more maybe to the point of never being able to drive again.

As for the Porche Cayenne, this is one zoom zoom SUV. I am looking at buying the 2011 Turbo and I am betting it would keep up with most of the sport cars on the road today.
