Today's CBC Quirks & Quarks

Some kind of tobacco plants send out an olfactory 911 :shock: call when being eaten by some caterpillars. Certain bugs respond, crawl up the plant and waste the caterpillar.

This, plus other interesting observations has raised the question:

Are plants sentient?
