In case you didn’t know, the person behind Twitter is pretty damn savage, and that is . But this time around Wendy’s decided to aim their gun at one of their rivals: McDonald’s. Let us explain what happened.

It kicked off when McDonald’s tweeted to inform people that by “mid-2018 all Quarter Pounder burgers at the majority of” their restaurant locations “will be cooked with fresh beef.” So damn, what the hell have you been feeding people?

Sorry McDonald’s, Wendy’s Twitter account is winning the war on beef

They're both servers of junk and supporters of factory farming, so they both suck, imo.

Actually, I like Wendy's burgers quite a lot, although the quality seems to vary by restaurant.

I don't understand why McD's is only going fresh for only one of it's 'sammiches' instead of all. Are they worried that consumers somehow won't like the move to fresh? Hmmmmmm

+1
Yet people still eat there despite McD's food not being fresh.

Ps When you see Oldguyzer please let him know of today's coffee in the breakfast thread. Much appreciated.

I eat at McDs about 3 times per week. I usually feel sick by the 3rd visit in the week. I don't know what is in their food, but damn, my old body doesn't like it. When I was in my 20s, I could tolerate it. When I was in my 40s, I could still tolerate it. But, now, in my 50s, I just can't stomach it. But, I still go and eat there for some reason.

I would rather frozen over fresh. Fresh food has too many risks for contamination as it is handled by human hands. Bacteria doesn't grow quickly on frozen meat as it would on fresh meat.

If all our food had to be fresh, never frozen, food costs would increase at least 50% and then people would be complaining about unaffordable food. If a woman's eggs can be frozen and later developed into a viable fetus, I think freezing dead cow meat for eating is an acceptable form of food practice.

Harvey's is my go to fast food chain for burgers. Even the french fries are better than Macs and Wendy's.

It's the massive amount of salt they put in everything. If you go without eating it for a while, next time you get a craving - analyze what taste you're remembering and and craving. You'll probably remember the salt.

They put salt in just about everything they make, then add more salt when cooking it.

Factiod: I worked at a McDonald's for a few months last year when I thought maybe I'd try something different than doing massage.

I aced it, was breaking company production records again in no time (worked for them before as a teen) and I'm sure I could been promoted to manager within a year, with a good salary.

But I HATED it.

Very happy to be doing massage again and never want to do anything else.

IF
YOU Dont mind me asking, how much a typical McD's manager earn yearly?

Taste, just like beauty, will always be 'in the eye of the beholder.' The key is everything in moderation where fast food consumption is concerned.

Between 40,000 - 70,000 when you factor in benefits, perks, etc. and once you're in, it's easy to climb the corporate ladder. But running a restaurant is not my purpose in life. I get no joy out of doing that.
