What a Vasectomy is Really Like

Talk about a woody. Sounds like a man who could drive his erection through an oak plank. If so, glad you survived the experience.

You are absolutely right! Many times I'd be walking funny and sitting down very carefully after our sessions. :biggrin2:

Double the pleasure, double the fun!

The actual operation itself isn't so bad. It's the healing process, sitting around with ice on your balls for a few days, that's a pain in . . . well, a pain in the balls.

I remember taking my Sony Walkman along, plugging in the earphones and enjoying some good music while the doc poked and prodded. Every once in a while he would ask me if I "feel that?" and I'd respond, yeah it's OK ...

He was tugging and yanking for 20 minutes or half an hour and finally said: Well, I'm gonna sew you back up now, that anesthetic is going to wear off in a few minutes.

When he finished sewing me back up, he gave a final tug and asked if I "feel that?" Yeah, it's OK I said. Not that I was being macho, it kinda hurt, but my balls were somewhat numb throughout this.

Well, that's good news, he said. We got you sewn up before the anesthetic wore off.

Bad news is, we're going to have to do this all over again.

Apparently I'm the one guy in a thousand that doesn't give up access to the vas deferens without a fight.

Turns out I was pretty bruised from that fight. Unlike Ms Sarah's BF, I nursed a lot of pain for about a week ... and I hated that ice on the balls.

About a month or so after healing up nicely, I had the questionable pleasure of a repeat performance. This time under full anesthetic. Out cold for half an hour, I assume, then off to recovery room for a while.

Recuperation wasn't near as bad, except that night I smacked my foot into the coffee table leg and broke a toe.

Not my favourite memory . . . but never any regrets.

From then on, it was bareback always with my wife.

Sigh ... I miss bareback.

I had it done. Found a new wife, tried to get it restored, didn't work.

Youst a warning folks.

Cock-punching Vasectomies!

Sorry to hear that Dave. How long will it take to recover? :fixer:

Doctor said usually 6 weeks, with those that are athletically inclined recovering faster. The killer is the wait is six to eight months to get in for the surgery.

In the mean time, I have to get a custom made ACL brace, and I'm to avoid high impact activities (ie muay thai and running :( ) So I'm spending lots of time in the gym, hitting either the rowing machine, elliptical or arc trainer between sets.

If you don't mind me asking what is your body fat percentage? You seem to work out quite a bit, do you also diet in a very strict fashion?
