RCMP Const. Aaron Lloyd said that at some point during the party, the teen was given a "date rape" drug that rendered her unconscious. She was then taken out of the house where the main party was taking place and assaulted by five to seven youths.

Lloyd said several other teens watched the repeated sexual assaults on the girl and at least one of them took photographs.

A 16-year-old youth has been arrested and charged with production of child pornography.
"He not only took the photographs and distributed the photographs, he was clearly present (but) we can't say at this time for certain if he was or was not involved in the sexual assault," Lloyd said.

As for the one who took the photos "being a participant" or not, that's a no brainer, he stood by and took the photos which by not saying a word, makes him an accessory.

As for any onlookers who were caught on film, they took should be charged as accessories. Whether or not the charges stick, the next time they see a crime being committed they might pick up that goddamn cellphone and dial 911 realizing it IS for situations like this not just for sexting and surfing the net.....

I would have NO problem posting the pictures in the newspaper showing their faces, names, phone numbers and addresses. They do that for "johns" using sp's so why not?

Might make the parents sit back and think: fuck, what have I done? I totally failed to teach my kid common decency......

I heard on the radio that the RCMP are visiting schools asking the students not to pass on the pictures. I'm not sure if they are pressing charges or warning the students, but they wil be able to trace back who sent the photos and ANYONE caught forwarding the photos should be charged. No ifs ands or buts. Even if the charges don't stick, they will learn a lesson: shit like this ain't a joke.

But we ALL know whoever the perps were, if caught, the parents and pc government will poo poo and hem and haw and say they are misguided youths etc and not do what NEEDS TO BE DONE!

Does anyone remember the shitstorm over that american teen who was caught in asia with drugs and he was to be publically caned? I say "let me at em"!!!!

I would explain to them why they were pleading guilty and asking for the maximum.

I would also explain why they would never seek parole while I am still alive.

I would also explain why killing me would be the same as putting a rope around their own neck.

God help the judge that would not give them the max sentence.

But I think we're dreaming if they do anything close to what the perps deserve.....

Maybe you posters with kids can answer this better but I tell you, if I was the father of one of the ones who participated? I'd beat the living fuck out of him then turn his ass in. Same as if I knew who one of them were and were a family member (nephew, cousin or ??). I believe in family loyalty and all but I'm not one of these types to defend someone just because they're family, if they were wrong they were wrong......

Tboy, many cops, judges and lawyers have kids. They will find away to deal with them in a proper BAD WAY. I hope.

We can hope, but the thing is, the cops judges and lawyers hands are tied by the politicos and the laws on the books. These same laws that let repeat offenders out early or out before they even do time.....

I'm a firm believer in reciprocity where whatever crime you commit, gets committed against you. For eg: you kill? you're killed. You steal? you lose the same amount. You rape? you are raped. You beat someone? you're beaten, you get caught selling a kilo of coke? you are injected with a kilo of coke and if you're the head of a financial institution who embezzles or steals money? You lose the same amount. If you're the head of a large corporation who pollutes a landowners drinking water? you are forced to drink that water....

you can bet your bottom dollar that people would think twice before committing such things, especially for profit...(see the "greatest threat to man" thread.....

This is going to sound extremely cheesy, but think about it for a while. In star Trek, if a Klingon commits a crime, the FAMILY pays for it for (I think) 3 generations. IE: if a family member steals a million dollars, the FAMILY pays it back. YOu can also bet parents would have a vested interest in insuring junior is raised to respect the law a little more.
