I honestly didn't realize just how wonderful Canada is until well after I had left.

I have now lived in multiple parts of Canada, the US, and a couple of countries in Europe. I feel like I spent enough time in each place to become fully immersed in local culture.

All in all, I've decided that there is simply no better place for me to live than right here in Canada. Despite some amazingly enriching experiences abroad, THIS is where I want to be.

A few key reasons:
- we have a culture that is relatively tolerant of different perspectives
- we have a strong economy with plenty of opportunity
- we have a strong sense of human rights
- very good education for all regardless of socioeconomic class
- a healthy respect for the value of personal initiative/effort
- a great variety of people and geographies to discover
- smoking hot SPs with never-ending pools of imagination

This is true. It really hits home when you live outside the country for a while. That's when you know in spite of how nice it can be elsewhere, there is no place like home. :YMAPPLAUSE:
