What to do or contact if roof company doesn't finish the job?.

My friend's wife hired a roof company to fix their roof. She got a quote ($9500.00) then had to pay an additional $4,000 for other stuff they didn't see. No matter, what's done it's done. They have to finish installing a few more shingles but she made a mistake of paying them in full out of good faith.

Guess what?. They are not returning calls and never finished the job.

Is there a government department that deals with these issues?. Is it worth going through the hassles?.

Call them.

Hit them where it hurts the most, the pocketbook. Start reviewing them on every review site that you can explaining everything that happened and that they did not finish the job. Then leave a message with the company that you will remove them if they come back to finish the job. Once the job is done re post the reviews. Roofing companies are one of the worst, right up there with moving companies in my books.

I tried searching government agencies for you to contact and all I could find is to contact the ministry of consumer services. But doesn't give you much information.

Do like I did, find their offices go there with some friends with baseball bats and get your money back.

Reviews and small claims court are really your only answers. Maybe bob as well but that all takes time. Is it worth the money to fight???

Reviews will help others. Find them on google, FB, Yelp, Homestars, etc.
