tboy said:the video is no longer available but this kind of reminds me of a problem I had a while ago at home depot. I had bought a pair of knee pads and the strap broke after 5 days. I had kept the box (for once lol) and right on it it said "guaranteed for 90 days, if I experience any problems, please return to point of purchase"....I took em back.
The person at the counter said I couldn't return them because they were used, I said "big deal of course they're used, that's how the strap broke...I just want another pair" Nope no way no how and she wouldn't talk to me further and went on to serve the next customer. I just about lost it, I said "give me your supervisor,....NOW" the super showed up and said the same thing, I (once again) pointed out the notice on the box, she used the excuse that "they're used" FFS...I was getting PISSED..... I then called for the store manager and when HE refused, I said to him: I have spent upwards of $20,000.00 in this store over the last 4 months, I don't think YOU will want to lose my business.....THen I again stated that it said right on the fucking box that i should return them HERE, I said "did you sell this item"? Yea, is this the home depot brand? YES then you are legally bound to accept them as a return, and if you don't accept them, you'd better call the cops now because there IS going to be trouble....with that he relnented ???and told me to go grab another pair...
But seriously, when idiots don't know their job, or the law in regards to retail practices, it really burns my ass.......
