Did you know that the CD was introduced almost 30 yrs ago in 1982!! (Feeling old yet? )

In the mid-seventies RCA had a movie player called a LASER DISC PLAYER ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laserdisc ).

It was based technology military RADAR technology used in the 50's or 60's.

I almost bought one! LOL I remember seeing one at some stereo store and thinking wow- this is cool! But there was limited media to use it with so I bought a VHS instead. :tongue:

Not sure if you're mocking me or not King, :tongue: but it is of no consequence...

I mean, gawd knows, I like techno-gadgets as much as the next guy, but it is also important that we don't lose sight of the truly amazing things the outdoors has to offer as well.

I hope he's not and don't believe he is.

It's too bad more families don't partake in the simple things in life.

Price of the LASER DISC PLAYERS were like 200 or 300 bucks, by me but as you say the limited media (titles) kept me away from them

I remember when we got our first remote control, we soon discovered that it worked off sound waves and that If we had two nickels and shook them in our palms we could get the tv to change channels.
